Much like the original industry leading Formula Carbon model, the Formula-CC contains all the critical elements that make Formula helmets the absolute in total head protection. Its Adaptive Impact System (AIS) whose high-performance ecosystem of structural designs and energy mitigating materials — including RHEON, a leading-edge viscoelastic material — is fine-tuned to greatly improve impact management over traditional helmets. Developed in collaboration with the world’s foremost leaders in helmet safety. Tested under rigorous scientific review to exceed ECE and DOT standards. Enjoy elevated defense against a wider range of impacts when you ride with the Formula-CC.
Tech Specs
The Formula’s Adaptive Impact System (AIS) is the result of years of collaborated research and design with industry leading doctors, scientists, and physicists from around the world. AIS is a high-performance ecosystem of structural design and energy mitigating materials. Each layer from the Energy Cells to the dual-density EPS liner, and the 12k carbon fiber shell, was carefully fine-tuned to achieve superior head protection from the widest possible range of real-world impacts.
All FLY Racing Formula helmets feature seven strategically positioned Impact Energy Cells. Their maze-like structure will compress and shear to maximize absorption of low speed linear and rotational impacts reducing overall brain stress.
Impact Energy Cells are enhanced with RHEON, an ultra-high energy-absorbing technology that controls energy across a wide range of impact velocities. This reactive material is soft and flexible, but upon impact, instinctively stiffens to radically dissipate energy of any amplitude. In the event of a crash, Impact Energy Cells dramatically improve the helmet’s ability to minimize the impact force on your head.

Spanning six critical zones individually fine-tuned for a progressive response to low and high-speed impacts, our ConeHead Dual-Density EPS allows the cones to help manage and absorb an impact force more efficiently over a broader range of impact scenarios.

Additional impact absorbing EPS has been strategically placed throughout the helmet to provide more suspension between your head and the ground.
Thermal cured 12K carbon is composed of wider bands woven together. This process reduces dips and rises creating less area for resin to pool. The result is a stronger, and much lighter shell.
At just 1290 grams +/-50g (size MD/LG), 2.8 pounds +/-0.11lb (size MD/LG), the Formula is one of the lightest weight helmets in the field.
