The Trixie Reptiland Coconut Fiber (9 liters) is a substrate for terrariums housing reptiles or spiders, and environments requiring high humidity, such as those for some lizards or snakes. This natural, organic product expands up to seven or eight times its original volume when water is added. The coconut fiber retains moisture very well and for a long time, making it perfect for use in rainforest terrariums, humid shelters, and other environments where high humidity must be maintained. Of course, it's also possible to let the substrate dry out longer and use it in drier terrariums. Due to its soft texture, the coconut fiber is comfortable for the animal and there's no risk of it swallowing large pieces while catching prey.
